Assessment

After the presentations, students will be evaluating their own contributions to the project, as well as the contributions of the group mates. The teacher will be assessing the overall group presentation. The assessment from the group presentation will be combined with the other scores to make up a final grade. Access the rubrics here. Self-assessment is argued to be beneficial in that it "can help pupils develop their understanding of learning objectives and success criteria" (NFER, 2007, p. 1)

To ensure students are aware of what is expected of them for the learning task, I would advise the teacher to go over the rubric with the students in the first or second lesson.
